This policy explains what data Rise Your Way collects, how we use it, and your rights. We keep it simple and clear.

Rise Your Way is an AI-powered learning platform. We take your privacy seriously.

Account information: Your email address, name, and password (stored as a secure hash, so we never see your actual password).

Conversation data: The messages you send and the AI responses you receive. We store these so you can continue past conversations.

Preferences: Your font, theme, reading level, and other accessibility settings.

Payment information: If you subscribe to a paid plan, Stripe handles your payment details. We never see or store your full card number.

Usage data: Basic analytics like which features you use and how often. We do not track what you type or say.

We use your data to:

Provide and improve the Rise Your Way service.

Save your accessibility preferences across devices.

Process payments for paid plans.

Send important account notifications (password resets, billing issues).

We do not sell your data. We do not show you ads. Ever.

Before your messages reach our AI provider (Anthropic), we strip personally identifiable information like email addresses, phone numbers, and student IDs.

Your conversations are not used to train AI models. They are only used to generate responses for you.

Free accounts: Conversations are kept for 90 days, then automatically deleted.

Paid accounts: Conversations are kept for up to 1 year. Conversations older than 1 year are automatically deleted. You can delete any conversation at any time. Bookmarked conversations are never automatically deleted.

Deleted accounts: All your data is permanently deleted within 30 days of account deletion.

We only share data with:

Anthropic, our AI provider. They receive PII-stripped messages only.

Stripe, our payment processor. They handle billing securely.

Hosting providers, where our servers run. Data is encrypted at rest.

We do not share your data with advertisers, data brokers, or any other third party.

You can:

Access and download your data at any time.

Delete your conversations at any time.

Delete your account at any time.

Update your email or password in settings.

Rise Your Way does not knowingly collect data from children under 13 without parental consent. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.

For school district deployments, parental consent is managed through the district in compliance with COPPA and FERPA.

We use industry-standard security measures: encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords, database encryption at rest, and regular security audits.

If we make significant changes, we will notify you by email or through the app. Minor wording changes may happen without notice.
