Accessibility Statement

Last updated: February 27, 2026

Our Commitment

Rise Your Way is built for people who process information differently. Accessibility is not a feature we added. It is the reason we exist.

We are committed to meeting WCAG 2.1 Level AA standards across the entire product. We go beyond compliance by including features specifically designed for people with dyslexia and other reading differences.

Accessibility Features

Adjustable fonts: Choose from OpenDyslexic, Atkinson Hyperlegible, or Lexend, all designed for readability.

Adjustable text size: From 14px to 32px, with adjustable line spacing, letter spacing, and word spacing.

Color themes: Four themes (Cream, Blue, Green, Dark) designed to meet contrast requirements and reduce visual stress.

Voice input: Speak your questions instead of typing them.

Voice output: Have any AI response read aloud with adjustable speed.

Simple language: AI responses are written in short, clear sentences. You can choose from three reading levels.

Left-aligned text: All text is left-aligned. We never use justified or centered body text.

Keyboard navigation: Every feature is usable with a keyboard alone.

Screen reader support: All interactive elements have accessible names and labels.

Standards We Follow

WCAG 2.1 Level AA: Our target standard for all pages and features.

Color contrast: Minimum 4.5:1 for normal text and 3:1 for large text across all themes.

Touch targets: All interactive elements are at least 44x44 pixels.

Motion preferences: We respect your operating system's reduced motion setting.

Known Limitations

We are continuously improving. Here are areas where we know we can do better:

Word-by-word highlighting during text-to-speech is not yet available (planned for a future release).

Voice input relies on browser support. It works best in Chrome and Edge. Safari has limited support.

Some older browsers may not support all accessibility features. We recommend using the latest version of Chrome, Firefox, Edge, or Safari.

Testing

We test accessibility using:

Automated tools (axe-core, Lighthouse).

Manual keyboard navigation testing.

Screen reader testing with VoiceOver and NVDA.

Real-world feedback from people who learn differently.

Feedback

If you find an accessibility barrier or have suggestions for improvement, we want to hear from you. Your feedback helps us make Rise Your Way better for everyone.

Email: accessibility@riseyourway.com

We aim to respond to accessibility feedback within 2 business days.

Enforcement

If you are not satisfied with our response to an accessibility concern, you may file a complaint with the Office for Civil Rights (OCR) at the U.S. Department of Education or your local accessibility enforcement body.
